Description
The Adjutant General Corps Beret Cap Badge is a military insignia worn by members of the Adjutant General's Corps (AGC), a corps of the British Army that provides administrative and personnel support to the army. The badge features a gold metal laurel wreath surrounding a central red enamel disc, which is topped by a crown.
The laurel wreath is a symbol of victory and honour, while the crown represents the monarch and the authority of the British Army. The red enamel disc bears the corps' emblem, which features a sword and quill crossed in saltire, with a scroll above bearing the corps' motto "Animo Et Fide" (With Courage and Faith).
The AGC is responsible for a range of administrative and personnel functions within the British Army, including personnel management, legal services, and education and training. The corps is made up of several branches, including the Royal Military Police, Army Legal Services, and the Military Provost Staff. The beret and cap badge are worn as part of the AGC uniform.
