Description
The British Regimental Polyester Tie is considered to be one of the original pieces of mens neckwear. The design of this particular tie comprises a thin yellow diagonal line, a strip of blue followed by 2 red diagonal lines with a thin blue line between them, another strip of blue followed by a thin yellow line, all running from the left shoulder to the right waist set against the blue background.
The largest Corps in the Arm, the RLC was formed on 5th April 1993 by the union of 5 British Army Corps; The Royal Corps of Transport, The Royal Army Ordnance Corps, The Royal Pioneer Corps, The Army Catering Corps and The Postal and Courier Branch of the Royal Engineers. It comprises both Regular and Reserve, and is the logistical arm of the army.
The RLC is to be found both at home and abroad as a core component of a global, integrated logistic enterprise. Its unique formation allows its corps to work within other corps and is usually in the midst of humanitarian and disaster aid.
